It's Official: We're going to South America

I love the planning and research (sometimes a lot, sometimes just a little) that goes into our annual vacation. There's a somewhat predictable routine: getting an acceptable block of time off at work; seeing where the cruise ships will be; checking prices on cruises and land vacations; checking out library books on particular countries, regions, etc. Then comes the next step: making the travel purchase, almost always online.

We made it official last night. Before going to bed, we sat down and bought our plane tickets for South America. We'll fly to Chile, sightsee, make our way to Argentina, see a few cities, then take a ferry from Buenos Aires to Montevideo, Uruguay. Three new country stamps for the passport and a new continent to count!
